"Through the eyes of a child anything is possible"
Seeds of Change
A Short Film

Logline
An unyielding, Midwestern man living in a "former" sundown town is forced to face his racist beliefs when his seven-year-old biracial granddaughter comes to live with him.
Synopsis
George Tanner is an unyielding 60-year-old living in a former sundown town in the rural Midwest. One evening, he comes home to find his wife, Laura, sitting in the kitchen with seven-year-old Lexi Tanner—the biracial daughter of his son, Michael.
George is not pleased. He believes Lexi’s presence will bring shame upon him and his wife in their small, judgmental town.
Over the next few days, George will be forced to confront his past, his prejudice, and ultimately—his conscience.

Director Statement
In this story, I explore what it will take to heal the pain of racism in this country. My hope is that the story will allow the audience to empathize which will subsequently lead to understanding.
My desire for the future is that a real dialog regarding race will be allowed where both sides feel safe enough to talk honestly about their fears and pain.
Though the eyes of a child, anything is possible. As adults, we sometimes forget about possibilities. It is my hope that this film will remind us.
